[Unless there's a need for tape. He might not always have tape.
At any rate, the incline is well-timed. Knowing the terrain better means the guards have managed to take a shortcut, following the whir of the engine, but they must not have anticipated two people going over the incline, because Rocket can see them passing by overhead, shouting to one another.
He breathes a sigh of relief, and hops out of his makeshift seat, giving the area a good once-over, and being generally disconcerted by the dampness. Ick.] Good work, kid. Those guys'll be so busy lookin' for us, we'll have full run of the place for awhile.
[He gives the controls on his rig a little adjustment and it starts up, allowing him to hover a few feet off the ground so that he's eye level with Yusei now. That'll keep the mud off his fur.]

[Yusei smiles wryly as he finishes hiding the bike. To be fair, tape is one of those things that always seems to vanish when you need them, right? Like spare change, your keys, or that one pair of scissors. He stares up at the incline, frowning at the skid marks the bike left behind on its way down. It's pretty noticeable, now that he thinks about it.]
If there was only a way to hide this... [Maybe they could kick off a small minor rockslide or something? Eh. That's something to consider when they're up in the air.] So how do I use this, then? [It seems pretty straightforward, but he doesn't want to leave any room for error.]

[He demonstrates by turning and studying one of the trees that seems to be hanging on by its roots- probably having been dislodged from erosion- and adjusts his rifle in his arms, firing off a shot that snaps the tree in half and letting it fall across the road, effectively concealing the gully and also making it impossible to go down or get back up.]
There. That work for you?

You have an answer for everything, don't you?
[Never thought they'd be able to hide their tracks this effectively - but for a plan that was thought up on the fly, they've done pretty well for themselves, haven't they?]

[He's the most smug about this.] But that ain't somethin' I wanna test today, so c'mon. Let's get the rest of Cree's shit so we can get paid.

[He could have broken out. His cellmate invited him in on his jailbreak plan and everything. And then instead he played card games to get out instead. Like a proper protag.]
Don't think that'll work here, though. [Yusei gets some more distance, careful to not rise above tree level where he could be seen.] The human ones should be a little easier, at least. We could just pick up a hand or an arm bone or something, yeah?

Maybe they'll think the dead guy was just missing a hand, and won't pursue it too hard. [Rocket chuckles indulgently.] All right, Yusei. Let's do this.
[a beat] And the next time you grab me like that, you're gonna be the one losin' a hand.

Oh.
[Yusei blinks owlishly when Rocket suddenly snaps at him, then smiles hesitantly.]
Sorry. I did that without thinking.
[well. at least Rocket finally gets an apology, however many minutes later.]
