[ Duo knows all too well that Heero isn't too pleased with him, that he's probably going to catch a raft of shit when he manages to get back to him. They'd worked together too long for Heero to not do it - for Duo to not know that it was coming when he finally met up with him when the guard changed. He takes a moment to climb a tree and watch, just to be sure. Of course Heero makes it through, as he knew that he would, and Duo...

Well, he sets back and decides to just hang out in the elbow of this tree until the guard changed and no one would know any different that Duo Maxwell had trounced through earlier in the night. It takes more like an hour and a half until another guard is finally relieved, but as soon as he sees his in, Duo slides down from his hiding spot, brushing himself off and making it look like he hadn't been sitting in a tree for the past hour or so waiting for them to change out. Once he's pretty sure he's clear enough Duo takes a pace up to the walls, shivering slightly, hands tucked away in his pockets as he gets a little closer, laughing off comments about losing his jacket. ]

Hey, man, when you run in to some shit out there you just give up your jacket and go, right? [ He laughs and shrugs himself back in through the gates, face sobering up as he makes it through and focuses on the challenge of finding Heero ahead. In the crowd it shouldn't be too bad, so he prowls through the darker corners, hoping to spot him out easily enough if he looks -

Which, he thinks - ]

Hey, that jacket's pretty nice, buddy, where'd y get it?
