Well, Riku doesn't know what to believe just yet – Kairi becoming a Keyblade Wielder is very believable, Axel a little harder to swallow, but the idea that Riku will earn his own Keyblade, never mind the right to call himself Master… it seems outright fantastical given the current state of his Heart.

(Too much is as bad as having not enough, and sometimes when he thinks too much about it he can hear the echo of Ansem's voice whispering. The Heartless is there, just waiting for Riku to lose himself.)

He shrugs at the comment, not about to take it personally – it's not like they got a dress code to go with the invitation anyway. As for having the 'right internal organs'…

"Having a Heart only helps so much."

It only means that he can feel every second of awkwardness linger between him and his date. Now there's something he almost wishes he could miss out on. (Almost but never truly – he's spend enough time talking with Naminé to know what she's missing and how much she wishes to be whole, has stalked Roxas enough to see him struggle to have the right to exist; both of them will have to fade back into who their other halves, and Riku just has to believe that it will be for the best.)
