"Unfortunately, it has it's reach everywhere, it seems like," and Clark's tone goes from pleasant and hopeful before slowly sinking. He hates that this is happening, and he hates that he has no real understanding of why. He hears the murmurs, hears the people, hears and sees the way they act and he just can't understand it. He can't understand the way this war has escalated from what seems like so very little.
