Actually, I'm glad to see you. [ When she's inside, he closes the door behind them and considers for a moment whether the apartment space is in decent enough condition for company.

He figures it's fine - neither he nor Peggy own a whole lot anyway. ] For more or less the same reasons, as it turns out.

[ To be sure that she's all right. ]

[ she flashes him a quick smile, one that doesn't quite chase the worry out of her eyes. ]

I'm alright. I wasn't taken, nor was I part of the rescue... I think I would have been more a hindrance than anything else.

[ and she had wished it wasn't so, because so many of those she cared for had been taken, while she couldn't help them in any way. ] I didn't have much to bring to you, but... I got this at the station.

[ she reaches into the bag she's carrying, and pulls out a bar of chocolate. ]

[ Steve glances down at the bar of chocolate and with that, he shakes his head, smiling.

Honestly, he's touched by the gesture. ]
