[ Perhaps, now with the context of some of Cain's past and what was revealed in that disturbing room, Percival can understand a bit more of Cain's logic, and why he's kept so much away from them. It's not a good feeling, to be terribly honest, to feel like Cain regards him as someone that needs protecting.

Not when he's dedicated his entire life to the protection of others, and upheld the principle of being strong enough not to depend on anyone.

Well, that's not entirely true. He has accepted that there isn't any shame in getting a little bit of help from others.

But he doesn't protest, merely continue to listen and keep a carefully neutral expression as he continues working. He also feels incredibly silly. Even something as simple as tending to Cain's wounds, or rather, touching Cain's arm, feels like coming home after a long time. ]

Why would you ally yourself with such a man? Why are you doing jobs for the Gilded Cage, Cain? You must be aware that they're a criminal organization... I know that you're not a complete fool. They unleashed a deadly virus on the populations of both cities.

[ He begins applying a bit of bandage tape now, eyes clouded with even more confusion. ]

So forgive me if I don't understand what you're trying to accomplish by working with criminals.
