[ A deliberating noise rolls around the inside of his cheeks, like he's chewing it over. ]

Sort of. It's not really much the system...

[ Sure, it's there. Radar, navigation, triangulating based on what Barbatos learned from the star maps he'd uploaded from the observation room. It's the retinal projection, giving his eyes that chilly green hue. But mostly — ]

It's like this.

[ Coming up on the first cluster, Mikazuki can approach at speeds that are beyond safe, that would plaster them on that space rock in an instant. But the machine gives a low flicker of its thrusters like a body might coil before a leap. It cuts above the first asteroid with the balance and sinew of a living thing, pushing into a turn that puts it belly-down as it coasts over the rock. It rockets off again, dipping through narrow corridors, weaving through icy clouds of debris.

All the while, the cord at his back pulses with the data that's just... instinct, now.
