And said palm-- even in that brief moment of observation it begins splitting, shifting, trying to withdraw itself from the injury despite the blood leaking out of it and no doubt it's only a matter of moments before it'll attempt to curl around the knife again--

The hound of war leans over him then, closer than close, ear to lips as he both listens and feels for breath. Once satisfied that he hadn't overdone it, he stretches languid and slow. Beings to regain his feet.]
