[Campfire's Glow]

[Hello, new refugee! You get out of the transporter, and are understandably disoriented.

A young woman greets you, her wavy, fair hair pulled back in a low ponytail. She's wearing some sort of robe, or perhaps a poncho (for the elements? It's not sure). Most interestingly of all, though, she's holding what seems to be a thin metal wand.

A wave of which commands a cart to roll up in front of you, carrying a bedroll and what looks like a mug of some hot, steaming liquid. The cart seems to be moving under its own power.

She smiles.]
Hello there. I hope your trip wasn't too stressful.

Please, take the bedding-- I think we'll be staying here for the night. And the tea will keep you warm, too.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

[Forgetting]

[It's night, when it happens. You're walking along in the dark, perhaps exploring the surroundings. And at first, you might not recognize it, because everything stays dark... but the stone under your feet is now worked. The plants around you are now forming some bizarrely square walls. And there's a soft glow coming from beneath you.

Far, far beneath you.

The chasm between you and the other side of the bridge isn't completely empty, though. There's a very thin bridge that looks like it's made out of some sort of vines, intertwined together in a braided rope. It's strong and sturdy, but still no more than a foot across, so it'll take some courage to cross.

And actually, though the light is dim, you might be able to make out a figure on the other side. It's hard to make out details, though...

...are they being wrapped and squeezed to death by giant snakes? You should probably help them, if you can make it across the vine bridge.]
