Not really, no. I mean I was a street kid so I wasn't a stranger to fighting, but.. once you've got a roof and food in your belly survival instinct kinda takes a back seat.

[ Allowing himself to focus on things other than where he was going to get a meal next and not having to worry about encroaching gangs of other kids his age and older should have allowed Duo to be a bit more of a traditional child, but it wasn't really in his make up or his cards. Plus, other kids who had parents (something that was more rare than one might think) constantly nagging at him hadn't done much for Duo's peace of mind.

The breaking point had been this moment here, quite apparently. ]

This kid was just .. a huge pain in the ass and didn't leave me be. So I snapped and taught him a lesson.

Never saw him again but that isn't hard. They probably moved to a different part of town.
