I, ah... I always enjoyed fairy-tales. [perhaps that is laughable to some...] The ones with princes and princesses and true love - the silly ones.

[silly to some - he enjoyed them; enjoys them still. But men aren't supposed to enjoy stories like that. So he calls them silly - because he was expected to.
