Vin sits, slightly dumbfounded at the torrent of words that suddenly tumbled from her companion. She'd asked the question but hadn't expected her to spin an entire tale like that. Nor had she expected to discover that this soft-hearted girl had been the target for assassination. But then, she'd also learned that the world of politics could be just as cutthroat and cruel as the world that thieves and criminals lived in, just with a false polish of civility over it. She doubts the worst of that world would lose a night's sleep over taking the life of someone like this.

A lot of the words are unfamiliar, "Terrans" and "Mars" but she gets the idea well enough. A war between two nations. The title strikes her as well, the granddaughter of an Emperor. What does that make her exactly? A princess? Is that how it works? Either way, it marks her as a high-ranking noble indeed which is something worth noting. She knows enough now not to let that immediately put her on edge but she keeps it in mind all the same.

"So, what happened?" She turns more of her focus to Asseylum, although she never stops listening to their surroundings. "Did you make it?"
