It's a hell of a statement, and the worst part is that he knows that Reinhardt means it. He wouldn't say something like that if it wasn't something he truly believed. Jack opens his mouth and closes it again, but he really doesn't have the first clue of what to say to that.
This is why he'd been so reluctant to let anyone in, back home. It's why he'd purposefully avoided everyone he'd once called friend, save for Ana. Here it doesn't matter so much -- whether or not there are targets painted on them, they still have that tendency to land themselves in grave danger.
