[The sky rumbles again, the high pitched crunch of clouds heralding another deafening clap of thunder. It leaves Takasugi's ears ringing, the only sound that cuts through the din of rain hitting the ground.

There are no shortcuts here - only a solitary path to follow that leads to the edge of a forest. Step between the trees that scatter its border, and end up back in the middle of the meadow trail, a beacon for lightning.] Heh.

[Getting lost would be better than wandering the same tired path.] There's a forest down the way. [Of course, Lancelot knows that.] I'm going to chop it down.

[Not the whole thing, but he's gotta sound dramatic.

Takasugi heads to the scattered foliage - it isn't far enough to be out of sight, but curtains of rain obscure most of the detail. In a single motion he draws his sword, cutting down one of the taller trees at the entrance.

The noise of its fall is dampened by the groaning sky. But it falls, the length of it stretching farther than the threshold of forest they'd been able to walk through. Takasugi steps onto the trunk, sheathing his blade as he walks down the path he's cut for himself, and deeper into the woods.]
