He snags a tall glass of amber liquid off the counter and takes a sip, squinting over the choices as he tries to decide how to describe them.
"Overpriced smart hotel cocktail," he says pointing at one with something that might be fruit in it, "sweetened paint thinner," he declares of the next, "close to ale?" and he holds up the tall glass he has, which there seems to be more of on offer. Then, pointing at the last one he says: "what you order when you're drunk and just want to see if the waiter blushes."
