[It's... disquieting, perhaps, the feeling that's swelling in his chest now that he's said those words outloud, admitting them both her and to himself. He doesn't really know how to explain it. He's happy -- so happy he hardly know what to do with himself -- but it's such uncharted territory for him right now that he feels strangely uncomfortable. Usually he loved trying new things, but this is the first time that new thing was something already so precious to him before he even had a chance to experience it in full.]

[But it's not such a bad thing, he thinks.]

[As she reaches for him, he opens his arms to her, sweeping one arm around her shoulders and resting his other hand atop her head.]

You've already changed me a great deal, you know. It's impressive, really -- demons can go thousands of years without changing at all, and yet you've manage to open my heart in a span of time that feels like the blink of an eye for me.
