Ah, let's see... that little one you're petting is Kikazaru, this one is Mizaru, and-- [The one covering it's mouth hops up on Mephisto's shoulder, only to tumble down and plop onto the one snuggled between them.] Ah, and there's Iwazaru.

[Their names, of course, being very bad Japanese puns combining what trait they lack (hearing, seeing and speaking) and the word saru for monkey. But it's not like the three wise monkeys and the whole concept of "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" is that obscure.]

[But as they sit there, being cute and adorable, Chuuya might just start feeling inspired... inspired to confess or say or even do something he normally otherwise wouldn't.]

[And Mephisto knows this. And maybe, just maybe, he was hoping for the opportunity for a little revenge after Chuuya turned the tables on him earlier.]
