[They're well-matched, in the sense of being easy-going. Peter's ~persona~ (at least as he understands himself) is debonair, dashing. Which means that he leans generally very faintly towards being in control. But not decisively. He's as happy being manhandled as he is being the one to do some pushing about.
And you know, Jim had made that joke about seeing stars. And sometimes, just sometimes, it's pleasant not to be the one calling all the shots.
Jim really does have the most striking eyes. Not that he hasn't noticed before, but it's especially obvious with the way the man is looking up at him. Peter reaches down to help him with that 'getting his hair out of his eyes business', smiling lazily.]
