The Not Inquisition Congregate
Who: The members of the Not Inquisition (Will update)
What: Lavellan gathers the people interested in working together
When: Sometime after quests and jobs given out
Where: Lavellan's house.
Warning(s): Ancient elf being rude but otherwise nothing major. Will update if that changes.
Finally, they have coin. It's not a lot but it's enough to start looking ahead, to make plans and what they should begin to focus on. They would need influence, friends, land, power. All of this to make an organization great and all of it to be turned towards helping the people of this land. This was his vision for it at the very least and he hoped the others here would share it.
While the meeting location has much to be desired it was better than doing it in a tavern or in some field. At least this way it could be more of a formal meeting. There are several chairs that surround the table, all of them of equal appearance and make. There lay several goblets and tea cups spread across the table with a large glass bottle of wine and a cooling teapot sitting in the center.
Now, down to business.
(ooc: feel free to make your own prompts, have your characters bring up points and goals they should work towards.)

First, I'd like to thank all of you for coming. I know it must not have been an easy past month for us but I appreciate that you are all still interested in this idea. [ He gives a glance over the table and then speaks again. ]
Second, I'd like to open the table to ideas or motions to be carried. The network provided me with some insight into what people may want but I want to hear what you all have to say. What we should strive to do moving forward.

Thus far, all I've seen of our number is settling in, making nice and bickering with each other. A few forays back into the wilderness as jobs require, but nothing more. We can't simply hide in this city forever, content to just survive where we've been put and never questioning anything. We should be exploring this world we've been so unceremoniously dumped on, finding answers for ourselves. If our generous benefactors have nothing to hide from us, then they shouldn't take any issue with our looking into things more deeply.
[Leaning back into her seat, she pauses just long enough to take a sip of her tea before setting the cup down and folding her hands in front of her.]
So I would propose an expedition of sorts. I'm doing what I can to investigate matters here, but it would be wiser to explore this world at large with at least a small group.

I already told ya what I think we should start investigating when I signed up, but I dunno if it's something to share with the whole class.
[He trusts Rose, but he's not sure about the rest of the team.]
Exploring and getting ourselves established here is important, but we gotta keep our priorities straight.

[ Which is why Rhys is here as a Financial Advisor in his own right, and definitely not because this is like a Justice League run by Elves and stuff. Okay. Lavellan being an elf has absolutely
everythingnothing to do with why he's joined up. ]I'm for an expedition. It gets us more information about this place which is always important, but we can also take the time to gather resources--stuff of value that maybe the normal people in this world can't. I've been working in the markets for a few weeks now and if we bring in the right stuff we can trade it for other things we need, money, or more information if you know where to look.
[ Implying that that's what Rhys has been working on this entire time. ]
Half the refugees seem to have a ton of superpowers. We should put them to use.

We need more information about the Storm so we can put together a plan to fight it.
[There are subtle, nuanced approaches to achieving one's goals and then there's... the fixated one-track-mind approach? Which has served him so well in the past and never helped ruin his life and the lives of the people around him, really.]
The people here don't know anything about what's going on outside their world so they won't be any help with that. Exploring, making munny, building things up... We'd only be wasting our time.
[When he finally lifts his head, it's to look to Lavellan, to beseech his support in this. Lavellan Is Leader, after all.]
We talk to the Natha. Or do whatever's necessary to gain their favor until they'll hear us out. We ask them what's needed to stop the Storm. How many people, how much power... They must have some idea by now. If not, we press them to work with us to figure it out.
[He gestures at Rhys-]
That guy is right about how many Refugees have powers. Maybe, if we combined our abilities, we could stand against the Storm now. But if more's needed, our focus should be on getting stronger... and recruiting more people to the cause.

When Terra goes to catch his gaze he looks over, remains silent, and listens. Everyone has a fair point to make but it seems the thing that it always comes back to is money even if it isn't said outright.
When it seems everyone's pieces have been said at this point he decides to talk. ]
All good points. Darma and her servants would be key to get on our way of defeating the Storm but asking them to help us without proving ourselves will likely do little.
However, despite people having powers here we have to remember an important detail;
Darma for all intensive purposes is a goddess. What that entails I'm not sure, but she had the power to reach into the Storm itself and rescue people from it. If a being such as her can't destroy it on her own we will have a hard time doing it with ourselves.
But, that's not to say it's impossible. We just need to work towards that and we have a good base to start from. [ And at this point his eyes shift to Rose. ]
Rose has a good idea of exploring this continent. If we set out expeditions into this world we may find some answers to a weakness to the Storm or maybe even a weapon of some kind. If nothing else we may be able to find treasure in the lost corners of this world which could add to our funds.
Doing that should help garner us recognition amongst the other refugees and hopefully they too will join the cause.

Who's to say she's the only god we have on our side in this fight?
[Somehow, she gets the idea that "for all intents and purposes I'm a goddess" wouldn't go over that well. So she shakes her head, powering on.]
If nothing else, we stand to gain a better understanding of our new world. That's benefit enough, as far as I'm concerned. And we proof so we have that there are no answers to be found here if we just look? Can we really be certain that no one on this world knows anything of what's going on beyond it? That there's nothing written into the world itself on the subject?
[Once upon a time, she tore a world apart to more easily access the secrets hidden within it, secrets that helped her escape an impossible to win situation. She might have matured beyond such recklessness somewhat, but the idea remains the same to her.
Frowning, Rose settles back into her seat with a neat little shrug.]
I won't ask anyone who fails to see the sense in it to venture out. But it's something I plan to do eventually no matter what, with or without aid from others. If doing so can also help out this little organization in some less esoteric way, through potential profit or reputation or whatever, then all the better.

Dunno why the answer to a problem up there would be down here. But maybe if we get enough people working on it, we'll be able to pull the answer from somewhere else.
[It's nonsense non-science from his world, please ignore him.]
But until we can turn something up on the Orbiters or the Storm, we might as well work on getting ourselves established down here.
[If Rose thinks that's their best move, he trusts her judgment the most of anyone else around here. Roommate solidarity.]

So...I dunno. I think learning more about this place is worth a shot. And if there's anything we need to do on the business side of ings you can count on me.
[ Rhys knows he doesn't have a lot to bring to the table aside from that, but...well. He wants to do what he can for Team Elf Club ]

But then he just deflates, sighing through his nose and turning his eyes back to his tea.]
You won't find anything about the Storm. [He says, vaguely grumbly. Which is at least better than yelling and possibly letting clueless Nysans passing by the house overhear.] The Natha have their own Order with this world. They've kept these people in the dark. To protect them, I'm sure.
[He knows how that goes. Sometimes it's for the best if people don't know the truth.]
They don't want them to know who we really are, where we're from, why we're here. They don't even want them to know who they are. No way they've let any information about the Storm slip into El Nysa. It'd be too dangerous for their people.
[Or so he's convinced, based on his own experience with World Orders.
He doesn't comment on Lavellan's insight that if Darma can't defeat the Storm, it may be a real struggle for them to do so. We don't know if she's even tried to fight it before, he almost points out... But that's an awfully uncomfortable thought, one he's not sure he wants to entertain right now. (What if she hasn't tried...? Why wouldn't she have tried?)
Terra shakes his head and moves one hand back around his teacup.]
I'm going to train. I'll work with any recruits we get who want to concentrate on building up their power.
and almost a month later i respond...sorry guys
I...didn't think there were any amongst us. [ Because if so...couldn't they have stopped the storm already? ]
But you have a point. A myth of some form would at least be a lead. I still find it hard to believe that the Orbiters haven't left some kind of mark in history in this place. Considering what they're capable of.
[ but he gives a nod. ]
Right, for the time being we need to at least try and get ourselves involved with the locals. Whatever reputation we can garner or understanding we can find in this world will help. With the money and alliances we make her it'll help at least give us some credibility in that department.
However, we can't let on where we're from. Like Terra said, it's paramount we don't let them on. We may even lose the Orbiters helpif we do.
[ Because clearly they had their reasons for it, whatever it is and he certainly doesn't need to piss them off. ]
So far it's not many. My speech...didn't exactly inspire as many people as I hoped. But, as they say actions speak louder than words.
