[Fighting alongside Allura isn't a new concept. An up and coming, under construction sort of thing: sure. The last time he'd done so, it wasn't his brightest moment. He's not exactly trying to redeem himself under these circumstances with these clunky suits -- here and now, things are much different. There isn't a lot of room for him to screw up, unless he somehow allows her to fall victim to the dragon's rage.
Not to say she really requires protection. It's an innate thing, keeping an eye on her as they exchange blows on the creature. It all seems for naught; one good hit after another barely reaps any results in their favor. In the blink of an eye, Allura's suit's seized by the lizard and before he can launch an attack, she's thrown like weightless discard.
Shit.
Turning away from an enemy is always a terrible idea, but he banks it into retreat -- pursuing the princess whose suit has taken a heck of a landing. Visibly.]
