[ Alphinaud is absolutely not a fan of the cold, and his time in captivity a while back only soured him further to it. He's a determined boy, though, and each time he falls to his knees in the snow, he gets right back up again. Except for this time, when the storm is starting to tire him out and the flashbacks are getting to be a bit too much.
He knows he's less fond of the cold than most others, but when Connor shows up with that strange smile on his face, Alphinaud can only be confused by it. Certainly no normal person could be that unconcerned in the middle of this storm.
He declines to comment on it, though, instead taking his hand to stand up again, before letting go and tucking his hands back under his arms to make sure his fingers are safe (please don't make him go through frostbite and hypothermia again).
