[As a scavenger herself, Rey knows she has a view of taking things that don't belong to her that's probably different than what most people have. She's done that for years to keep herself fed, alive, and it's not something she would ever fault anyone for or tolerate being shamed for.

You have to do what you need to survive, and no one knows that better than she does.

The thing is, though, that she took things from dead people. People who would never miss them, who would never know that their power converters or selenium drives would go towards making sure a little girl didn't starve to death in the desert. They have food here, things provided to them, and stealing - or scavenging, isn't necessary.]

[Is what she goes with, and she lets it go because she has no idea what this small creature has been through. From the looks of her, the nervousness and a mask hiding her face, Rey can't help feeling like maybe it's not so different than what she herself has faced.]
