Jim shares her concern - sort of. If he were sure they were from the same timeline, he might be more lax. But as things are, there's a bit of a worry, despite all data on the matter of 'returning home' via further stasis establishing no memory of El Nysa while absent. What if she's from Ambassador Spock's world, and before the horrific destruction of Romulus? Any Starfleet officer would struggle over wanting to stop it, despite the potential for screwing up various timelines even more. A captain, though. Jim knows how torn he'd be.

What's he supposed to say? Hey, if you remember this when you go home, please fix things and erase my entire existence, it'll be better for everyone. No. He knows better than that. Meddling on top of meddling just means more chaos, more perforations in time. But the urge is sometimes there, under his skin, even if a part of him fights back with Maybe they're the mistake, maybe you should have always been this way.

Jim's expression shifts, not dumping his default, somewhat upbeat state, but flickering into what's clear disapproval. No quip back-- he wondered maybe if Q was just giving her shit, but that's extreme. It was infuriating enough being kicked around like a helpless toy for Jim, and all Q wanted from him was to solve a puzzle. (A puzzle to prevent the end of all worlds. At least Jim knows that didn't cause the Storm.)
