Fingers still curling, mechanically now, to retain feeling even as he feels a chill rush over them.
Biting there leaves the rest of his body less leaden, but the indomitable rush is dizzying. He watches as teeth leave his flesh, in an instant remembering the weight of his sword on his hip and the freedom of his other hand.
But he's been predicted once more.
