Dormant as it is, it’s still a part of him in every way, and he can only assume his ability exists because he draws power from it. To lose it completely...who knows what would happen?
He also understands the hierarchy thing. There was no one Chuuya respected more than Mori, for his genius and power, aside from Kouyou, the woman who took him under her wing. He understands respect and ranks all too well. Apparently that’s not a requirement for climbing the ranks of the mafia though, considering Dazai had no respect for Mori, or anyone else really.
Everything else Meph says though...that’s a lot to swallow. He doesn’t know what he expected, because demons, and maybe he shouldn’t judge considering all the lives he’s taken, but...]
