[....The strange thing is, Caleb has never even contemplated the idea of...his parents being here. Not even after seeing Bree's father in that tube. Of course, he's only gotten absolute confirmation of the man's death a handful of seconds ago, but....still.

When she says "maybe one day", it hits Caleb that perhaps his parents are somewhere in here. He hasn't completely searched these halls yet - again, they creep him out - so he doesn't even know....

The realization knocks him back. Not physically, but mentally. It takes him a few long seconds to respond, during which his breathing quickens, eyes distant. The thought is tantalizing and terrifying at the same time.

...But it wouldn't change the past.

He pulls himself back, makes himself smile at her as if nothing had happened.]


Ja, one day. I'm sure he will wake up.

Ach, where are my manners? [Holding out a hand to her, because the easiest thing to do is to try and move the conversation along. In case she's interested in prying, because he can tell she's that kind of soul. Not out of malicious intent, of course. But even still.] My name is Caleb Widogast.
