Rodney spends half of the time he's re-configuring the Life-signs Detector muttering under his breath about genetics and radiation and Natha, lost in his own little world and impatient with them if they try to interrupt. He's delighted to have something Ancient on his hands again, to be working with familiar tech, and honestly it doesn't take that much time to get it set up.
