[A: Spoopy Food]

[Ren couldn't put a huge deal of effort into a costume on short notice, but he has managed to put together a very simple kitsune "costume", consisting of a pair of fox ears and a lot of tails (made of fur that's very nice, but also obviously very fake) worn with a low-cut shirt with overlong sleeves and an even lower cut casual waistcoat, along with his usual half-skirt, black pants and knee-high boots with heels a few inches higher than what he normally wears.

It's looking like he might've had way too much fun with the food, though, which he's currently moving from the containers he brought it in to arrange it on plates on the table. The food ranges from rather goofy-looking, like strawberries and bananas dipped in white chocolate and with little eyes on them to make them look like ghosts, or red-iced cupcakes with horns and tails made of chocolate, to actually kind of horrifying, like the jelly that looks a lot like a brain and another set of cupcakes that look like they're bleeding, with sugar-glass shards sticking out of the top. He's a bit distracted by the process of it all, it seems, but he starts slightly in surprise if someone approaches the table before offering them the...container filled with the glass shard cupcakes, an expression of pure innocence on his face.]

Want one? They're really good, I promise. [His tone is as airy and innocent as his expression, despite the distressingly accurate bloody cupcakes.]

[B: Mingling]

[Ren's actually drinking alcohol today, which he doesn't usually make a habit of too much at parties - possibly unsurprisingly given his dedication to the spooky aesthetic so far, it's red wine. The quality is slightly short of what he's used to, but it's at least good enough that he's not pulling any faces about it as he sits at the restaurant bar with one leg crossed over the other rather delicately, watching people dance.

If an upbeat enough song comes on, though, he gives a slight hum of interest, leaning over to the person next to him with a thoughtful look.]

Hmm, do you like to dance...? [There's a slightly mischievous look on his face, though, as if he's somewhat unlikely to actually take into account whether the answer is a yes or no.]
