He and Fjord have magic they don't even understand or know where it came from. If he didn't already know that something probably followed Fjord after the shipwreck that gave him those abilities maybe he'd fully believe that there was some drunken ship party and the gods were so pleased they gave him magic.
And, quite frankly, if the way his blood works came from some raucous party somewhere in that past he doesn't care to think about, it would be the one thing he'd accept. But... that sounds way too pleasant. Still, he can't argue with Yoshiko's logic.]
