Altaïr was well-traveled, used to adapting quickly, but this was another time and world entirely. Either way, he was more vigilant in a new place. After wandering about for a bit and not shaking her, he could tell he was being followed. Since he’d only just arrived, it could not be for any of the usual reasons—being wanted for a crime, Templars afoot, etc. He could only conclude she was looking to make trouble, or maybe sell him something. Not a great sales tactic, in his opinion, but he was the kind of person who didn’t like to be bothered.
