Despite the length of time he's been here, Reyes is still trying to wrap his mind around the existence of other worlds and the people that come from them. Altaïr's choice of dress means very little to him, to the point where he's guessing what it says about him and coming up empty. The missing finger, however, doens't go unnoticed, though Reyes knows there could be a multitude of reasons for that.

Best not to underestimate him either way.
