[ As they walk, Bucky's steps have him slowly drifting closer until his arm is around Thomas. Maybe it slows them a little, but it certainly feels more solid. It's not just for Thomas's benefit, anyway. Bucky, for all his renewed resolve, still feels shaken and in need of something to anchor himself to in the fog.

He doesn't comment on the flickering light or the fact that they haven't seen anyone else. He won't comment on just how much they've been touching, either, because Bucky hasn't shied away from casual touch with Thomas, but this doesn't feel casual and he's not sure how much he minds that because he's genuinely enjoyed getting closer to Thomas in the last few months. It feels selfish to let himself have even this, but God does he need it right now and he thinks Thomas might need it, too.
