lednikovyy: CW (It's for the bodies I claim and lose)

[ He honestly wishes he could do more. He wishes he could chase all the monsters away, but it's something he's never really been able to do for anyone. All he can do is keep moving them forward, out of this place and away from whatever memories and fears the fog seems to evoke in them.

There's a part of him that wants to fill the silence more, too, to get them both out of their heads, because maybe they didn't suffer the same ways and Bucky isn't even sure what else Thomas could have faced that he hasn't spoken about, but they were in the same war and Bucky remembers what even that can do to someone's mind. Things like that stay with you like deep scars. Anything he thinks of comes up short, though. What does he even say that isn't a lie?

The fog gets thinner and thinner and Bucky just sits on his thoughts and keeps Thomas tucked as close to his side as he can without impeding their movement.
