[ it's not that he really bothered with kamoshida's palace much. he hadn't really had reason to know it existed, or of the key words, while the phantom thieves were traversing through it. and since he didn't suspect the group until much later, he wouldn't have had the opportunity to tail them inside. but everything this kid does is with a purpose, so it doesn't take a genius (or ace detective) to conclude that this must be the castle they had mentioned during meetings. or something similar to it, depending on akira's actual artistic ability. wasn't the scrawny kid the artist?
anyway, that sand castle is begging for trouble. he can't blatantly step on it - why would the kindhearted, charismatic detective do such a thing?! - but he can think of a clever way of destroying it. but he'll start innocuously enough, standing a few feet away from akira and the castle. ]
