Slaine's not exactly the most socialized teen, not for a lack of trying but simply for the fact he's never really interacted with people his age outside of Asseylum which...didn't really even count thanks to the circumstances surrounding their friendship. Adults were a bit easier - they'd give an order and he'd obey. The three he was going to live with now were conundrums, puzzles that he was, in all honesty, afraid of.
