[Mephisto may be over his sulking phase, but that didn't mean staying at home was any more enjoyable when he lived with a brat and a sentient polygon in a space clearly only meant for two. Having a back-up place where he could safely nap for a few minutes out of the day would be ideal! And what better place than in the lap of a pretty girl??]
