Who: Clarke Griffin (
romancekiller) & various
What: Post canon update return + catch all for October event related things.
When: October
Where: Thesa station/stasis units + Sanctuary
Warning(s): tba
thesa station;
[clarke doesn't even remember passing out or falling asleep when she finds herself waking up from the stasis units. she doesn't know where she is and it doesn't register with her immediately because months had passed from what she last remembers of actually surviving praimfaya when she was so certain she going to die.
sometimes it didn't feel real that she was still alive, that despite showing symptoms she had recovered just like luna did. her brows furrow in confusion as she stares at the empty stasis pod in front of her and suddenly the rush memories of being on thesa station, the orbiters telling them about a storm that had destroyed their worlds and her stay in olympia all came back to her in small waves at a disorienting rate. she doesn't miss the irony of the situation or the fact that she has regained newer memories compared to what she last remembered of this place. it was just like bellamy had told her and she feels her breath catch in her throat at first but she calms herself to exhale sharply and taking another deep breath.
she wasn't alone, not here. she remembers the people she met here, bellamy being here too and she immediately grabs her phone from her pocket. she know that whatever happened to her that she had definitely worried her friends. if anyone happens to be passing by, once she has composed herself she will try to catch their attention] Hey. Can I ask you something?
sanctuary;
[it hadn't even been long after she had woken up and came down to olympia that it seemed to be in chaos of the bombing that happened later that morning. it's the talk of the city and clarke immediately heads to the sanctuary, postponing any plans she has to tend to the people there.
she learns that nobody really sustained any injuries but there were people becoming sick at almost an alarming rate and she couldn't help but worry. it reminded her too much of when the grounders had tried to get to them through biological warfare and this didn't seem any different with how the symptoms seemed to be arising with people. it was possible that clarke could get sick herself but if anything that was her last concern especially when she learning that some of her friends were sick. if you are on of her friends, don't think she is letting you off that easy either]
a) [if you're dropping off patients she will direct you to bed to place them so they can be treated but for the most part clarke will making her rounds to each patient and checking up on them every chance she gets. especially certain stubborn people who think it's a great idea to venture out when they need to be rest so they can recover faster] Okay, look— I don't care what excuse you plan on giving me, can you please just take it easy and rest?
b) [at some point later in the day, it's easy to tell that clarke has mostly likely worn herself out. she has been running back and forth trying to tend to everyone else and taking sure they were okay first and foremost. to her credit she had been taking small breaks here and there where you can catch her but despite not being sick, she does seem really exhausted and look like she needs a more permanent break from this for the day]
wildcard;
[choose your own adventure! i will roll with it or just hit me up on my plotting comment here or on plurk (
throned) and we can plot and i can write up a starter for you!]

thesa station
You just did. [But then, after a beat.] What is it?
thesa station;
He'd do it though, without question.]
Huh? [ The question pulls him out of his thoughts, the half-formed mental map he'd made of the area fading as he turns toward Clarke, brows raised. ] Sorry. I didn't think anyone else was down here.
[ Then his gaze shifts, catching on the open pod and — ] Oh. You've just — I'm sorry, I don't — how can I help?
sanctuary b;
but when she sees Clarke pass her by for the nth time, her expression worn-out and tired, she can't help but reach out. ]
Clarke? Do you have a moment?
sanctuary a.
Does that still count if I tell you I'm not sick? ( he wonders, though the fact he stopped at all means perhaps he can be convinced to slow down... for a second, anyway. at least long enough to check in with Clarke. )
sanctuary b-ish.
on his way out of the sanctuary, he stumbles into a healer rushing past and hurries to apologise. in the chaos, JB slips from his side, shooting off after a supposedly familiar face. ]
Sorry, I wasn't paying any — [ eggsy catches sight of his little dog disappearing around a corner. ] — oh, for fuck's sake, JB!
[ he swiftly pursues. jesus, it's busy as hell, with patients and professionals alike flitting across the halls. to avoid getting trampled, JB darts underneath a chair. well, clarke's chair, wherever she was seated for a brief rest. half a minute later, eggsy appears in the waiting area, skidding to a stop as he scans the room. his eyes pause on clarke. huh, he recognises her from somewhere. the station, maybe — or wait, doesn't she hang around bellamy? ]
sanctuary a;
It's good, at least, to see a familiar face. ]
Look, I can't make any promises. I'm not going to sit around waiting for someone else to save me, you know? That's not me.

I was just wondering— do you know what day it is today? [she needed to know just how long it was that she had been in stasis from the last day she remembered]
no subject
I know where I am but I was just wondering how long I'd been in stasis for. If you could tell me what day it is today?
no subject
no subject
I just don't want to see your conditions worsen either.
no subject
it just figures that she woke up from stasis only to have to deal with this chaos because it's not that much different from home. the moment they think they're safe, something always goes sideways and for as suspicious as she still is, she knew this place wasn't any different. she hears peter's voice when he approaches her and she gives him a once over look to confirm his words. she could tell he looked a bit worn out but nothing that matches any of the symptoms she has seen from the people who were affected]
Yeah, that counts— [her expression softens easily along with her tone] I'm glad to see you're okay, Peter.
no subject
still, he has just enough heart left to offer Clarke a tired smile. ) Hey Clarke. Yeah, I'm all in one piece, at least so far. How about you? ( keeping her head above water in Sanctuary can't be an easy feat, after all. )
no subject
I know. I know, but I also can't just... stay in bed waiting to see if this is going to kill me or if it's just the flu, you know?
no subject
About a week after that there was some kind of beach party. Is, uh ㅡ is any of this ringing any bells?
no subject
she had just been taking a break to catch her breath, filling out some of the paperwork before she goes back to tending to patients when she notices what she recognizes as a dog settle down under her chair. she briefly looks a bit puzzled until she notices eggsy rush in not long after and putting two and two together she can guess the dog belongs to him] I'm guessing the dog that's under my chair right now belongs to you?
no subject
[ she bites her lip, looking down, as if to say I'm lonely, or I would like some company to deal better with the sickness... in reality, it is a lie about not knowing anyone else in the Sanctuary, but she has a feeling Clarke won't stop if she simply points out that she looks tired. ]
no subject
[she gives her a small smile but the cough doesn't go unnoticed either because her expression immediately shifts to concern] How about I get you some drink that will help with your throat?
no subject
I'm not too sure but ended up back in stasis so I was trying to figure out how long it'd been exactly. [it was really disorienting remembering almost a years worth of memories on top on remembering her stay here so time she couldn't tell how long she had been out for]

[ She hates cough syrup. ]
no subject
Were you hurt? [ It's none of his business, of course, and she'd be well within her rights to tell him as much. Still, this is going to probably eat at him now. The thought that at any minute they could be snatched back. ]
There's bound to someone, somewhere, that can tell you. Maybe we can check the Observation Deck? [ If only because it seemed to be perpetually busy. ]
no subject
Yeah, maybe— I guess we could check it out, though I'm sure if it's been a while then my friends would be able to know the answer.
no subject
no subject
You deserve top marks for that one. [ a beat. ] Thanks.
[ and he's not even kidding, with relief colouring his features as he jogs forward and taps his foot (the latter a signal for JB to come out of hiding). ]
C'mon, JB. [ hard not to sound mildly irritated by the little bastard's antics. ] Gave me a bloody heart attack.
[ with that, JB slowly peaks out from under the chair. after a moment's hesitation, he trots forward and sits in front of eggsy's feet. he's well-trained, when he bloody well deigns to be. ]
no subject
I'm doing okay, mostly just keeping busy trying to tend to the people affected here until we find some sort of cure for this.
no subject
[ As long as it's not Robitussun, or whatever this world's equivalent is. ]
no subject
Yeah. A cure. ( peter huffs a miserable sigh, running a hand through his hair. ) I'd like to tell you I'm working on it, but it feels so far from actually succeeding right now. I haven't heard any good word at the Institute yet, either.
no subject
no subject
[ She does appreciate it, even if she's not a very good patient. ]
no subject
it takes her a few minutes as mentioned and soon enough she is back by the bedside with the a cup of honey lemon tea which she offers her] Alright, here— hopefully this will help settle your cough.
no subject
she moves her focus to placing the paperwork she had in her hand back on the desk and shift in her chair so she was now properly facing him] You're welcome— I'm glad you were able to find him and he didn't go off too far or cause more trouble around here.
no subject
[ She has a feeling that's what Clarke is thinking after the thanks, and she just continues the conversation like it was never interrupted as she sips at the tea. ]
We're all strangers to each other, from different times and places. And yet - a lot are more than willing to help. That's pretty unusual, in my experience.

Someone will, anyway, ( he agrees with a quiet shrug of his shoulders. Peter is doubting how much he'll have to do with it, but it has to happen. it has to. ) Anything I can do for you here before I head back to Sanctuary?
no subject
no subject
( but, if there's nothing he can do to help out here, then he probably has no excuse to stay much longer. Peter sighs, nodding his head toward the door. )
I should probably go, but, I'm glad to see you're still doing okay. Take care of yourself, will you?
no subject
I'll see you later then. [she gives a small wave as she watches him head out the door]
→ clary;
it's on her way though that she stops in her tracks the moment she spots clary wandering around. the other girl had escaped her bed when she had firmly instructed her to rest earlier when the sickness first hit so seeing her still out now only made her more concerned as she approaches] Clary— hey!
no subject
Thank you, [ she says with sincerity. then, trying to think of something to talk about, she latches on to the first topic she can think of. ] Are you a Maester? A, a healer, I think it is called in other worlds. Like Lady Claire.
no subject
[clarke just smiles slightly and just nods in response to the question. the word maester isn't a term she had heard because but when sansa corrects her wording, it's easy for her to realize it meant the same thing] Yeah, that's right— I am a healer. It's something I've studied since I was younger.
no subject
... a mentor?

[ how amazing... and yet, Sansa feels like she can relate, at least a little bit. she may not have learned healing arts from her mother, but all her courtly skills, all the strength, she did. ]
She must be a remarkable person.
no subject
no subject
[ she can relate to missing your mother, too — she had left her lady Mother in Winterfell, and never seen her again, not once. all she had was her memories and the story of how they'd killed her. ]
But forgive me. I know it is hard... to remember those who still sleep.
no subject
[hearing sansa apologize though for bringing up her mother, clarke finds herself shaking her head] It's okay— I don't mind talking about my mother or my friends who are still sleeping.
Especially since it's like this for me back home too from what I remember with the new memories I have gained recently. [between her friends that were living in the bunker and her friends who were up in space for the next five years, she didn't want to forget them so talking about them at least helped her remember and hold onto the hope that she would see them again in five years or even if they wake up from stasis here one day]
