[Atsushi is a little nervous, but also excited. It's not that he can't fight... He's pretty good at it, even, when he uses his ability - but he needs to get better. One day, Akutagawa will wake up, and Atsushi wants to be ready.
It wouldn't be so bad, learning how to fight without his ability, and then incorporating actual technique into his fighting when he transforms: while he's done well, it tends to involve him taking enormous risks (to himself, never to others), and eventually that won't cut it anymore. He's been lucky, so far; he may not get so lucky again.
So here he is, a lanky kid wearing his clothes from home, washed but damaged from their landing. It's the best he's got for gym wear - and there's something pleasantly familiar about wearing them, if nothing else. Spotting Foster, he gives him a polite little nod, and waits for him to finish what he was doing. It's pretty impressive, seeing the man at work.]
