"Empathy." He repeats, testing the word on his lips. "I understand." Except he doesn't, not really. He understands the idea of empathy as a theoretical, but but cannot truly comprehend what it means to feel sorrow when someone else is sad, or happiness when someone else laughs. He barely understands his own emotions, let alone how others feel.
