crowley eusford | first wave

i.

[ Crowley is no stranger to a seemingly calm situation quickly going south, the real surprise comes from the fact that he was asleep. However his thoughts are quickly overwhelmed by the voice of Darma, whose explanation makes sense but it also means that he’ll have to settle with a heavy weight of responsibility on his shoulders. Not that he quite mines, despite the heavy breath that escapes him, but he knows that the crash is going to hurt like hell.

The drop and landing isn’t a blur, but for his own benefit Crowley is going to pretend that it didn’t happen entirely. Especially when he’s busy focusing his attention on getting out of his pod. He nearly doesn’t realize that his arm is in the process of regenerating until he moves, feeling the bones and nerves physically reconnect.

He was right about it hurting like hell. But at least it’s not too bad.

Forcing the door of his pod open he moves out, stretching out his arm and confirming that it’s functioning perfectly and without restraint before looking to the sky. The next wave is already falling from the sky, descending closer to the ground, and that’s when Crowley finally exhales a tired sigh. There’s no true order going around but after a quick look around to see those that accompanied him on the first wave he’s quick to react to whoever they’re not attending to. And this continues for the waves that follow.

So (un)fortunately enough your pod is getting caught, quite literally, by a vampire who easily pries open the door with a neutral expression. ]
You’re not hurt, are you? If not hurry and get out.

[ But if your character is hurt upon landing? Crowley doesn’t sigh or express any sort of irritation, but he doesn’t appear sympathetic either; his voice, however, does remain calm despite everything being far from perfect. ]

Don’t move so much. [ It comes off as an order more than it does a request. ] You’re just going to end up hurting yourself more, I’ll carry you to someone that can help.

[ Or just out of danger.

Either way he’s carefully moving to put his arms around this person. ]

[ Some time after they’ve begun gathering supplies Crowley is looking through what had managed to come out reasonably untouched after the impact. The only item that seems usable, for himself, is a tent. The compass was smashed to pieces and while the sleeping bag isn’t torn to shreds he doesn’t find it necessary for himself. Of course that means it could be useful for someone else, and without reluctance he’s looking over the heads of unfamiliar faces and trying to find someone unfortunate enough to have a ruined sleeping bag. ]

Here, you can have mine.

[ He doesn’t sleep anyway so it doesn’t really matter much to him. ]

[ As hours pass and the initial chaos subsides there is now a heavy scent of blood that clings to the air. Truthfully speaking it had always been there, even within the first wave, and in order to keep up his end of the bargain Crowley did what he could to ignore the craving for blood. It’s not uncommon, especially when he’s seen worse, but after having used so much strength to keep others from getting hurt there’s an undeniable desire to fill himself.

He knows better than to cope and ignore it, however, because doing so would put himself and others at a greater risk. And having to deal with the mess afterwards would just be a pain, trouble before he’s actually done anything bad, completely unnecessary so long as he can play his cards right. Receiving permission to bite someone is his priority for the time being.

He doesn’t look beyond exhausted, but it’s clear that after today’s events he’s tired. Sleeping wasn’t a requirement for vampires from his universe but he honestly wouldn’t mind tossing aside a month so he can relax. He examines his clothes and clicks his tongue, noticing the dirt and blood from injured refugees staining his clothes. ]

Tch, I hate it when my clothes dirty. [ He notices in the corner of his eye someone stuck in a similar situation. Or perhaps they were just hoping to clean their dirtied clothes in some way, while tucking away an extra pair thanks to Darma. ] I think I can hear a river nearby. [ How? Don’t ask. ] Do you want to check it out?
