[There's the playful press of her hand at his shoulder, the lightly uttered admonishment, and in response he clicks his tongue against teeth as though demonstrating impatience or disdain, only there's something just as light in it as there is to the way she'd shoved him. He isn't annoyed, not really, and she's right besides. He's fully aware of that and in truth has no desire to do anything that would cast further aspersions on his character. At least, for the moment.
But then she's asking him to turn away and it takes a trickling of seconds for him to grasp after her meaning, and look, he may be a genetically engineered hound of war but he does have some grasp of gentlemanly manners. Or perhaps he's just painfully shy and awkward under that sharp demeanour, who knows.
Whatever the case, he abruptly averts his gaze, hands half raising at his sides in protest before falling limp again, uncertain. There's an unsteadiness in him, an odd feeling up behind his ribs that is quickly accompanied by a vague sensation of self-disgust. What's wrong with him? He can't begin to know, but there's a creeping heat from throat to cheekbones that only acts to further his irritation with himself.
