He's only ever had himself to fall back on, and so he can't help but hurt for her as she makes the front of his chest wet. Carefully he runs his fingers through her hair, in a bid to soothe, even though he feels completely out of his element. Dealing with her when she'd been sick and even delusional was one thing...this was entirely different.

Especially when he knows there's nothing he can say that'll make her feel better.]}

We can visit him together. I know that isn't the same but he hasn't gone away.
