It's perfectly normal for a man to appear out of nowhere, to another who's in the middle of the forest. Bruce flashes a quick smile at Gani, approaches with an apple just to let the horse get the sense of him up close. The animal has gotten used to him as well, but only as a shadow. Sometimes, one has to allow oneself to be seen.

Bruce isn't sure the lighting agrees with him, but he's managing.

'The knight goes on,' he says, a little more sombre but with a touch of playfulness. He thinks his double entendres are very clever. 'I have some extra water, if you were running low.'
