[Keith's been entertaining himself with a giant, uneven and frankly crude piece of wood he probably shaped all on his own, like how the contestants on Naked and Afraid have to (sometimes) craft rafts in order to reach the rescue boat/chopper/etc. On it is a tally of the days he's spent on the planet so far, etched in with his Galran knife; some other random symbols pop up here and there -- symbols whose meanings are known only to him.
And, of course, his initial response to Lance's sudden offer is akin to a kid who's just been interrupted for dinner in the middle of a pivotal black temple raid. A sigh heads his response.]
