safe haven » axel
Reign could understand their reasoning for deciding to do so. After all, he had friends who had also left on accounts of personal reasons. He didn't know if they'll even be able to convince these people to return, but it was worth a try. The Temple acolytes had taught them how to use the crystals, now in each of their hands; the blue in his, while Axel held the purple one.
As they left the Temple, Reign turned to Axel. ]
Should we try activating the crystals on our own? Might as well get a few practice in.
safe haven » crowley
He glanced down at the crystals the Temple acolytes held out to them, one blue, the other peach. ]
Go ahead and pick one.
no subject
Fine. [ He reaches down and doesn't even hesitate before he picks the blue crystal, humming lightly. ] We can't go trading them later, can we? [ In case it becomes an inconvenience... though he doubts it'll actually cause any problems he can't solve on his own. ] Let's start moving.
no subject
He fingered with the peach crystal in his hand, a shrug of his shoulder. ] I don't think we could. Not unless someone is willing to buy these crystals. [ With a nod, he began to walk alongside Crowley. ]
Where should we head to first?
no subject
[ The view of Olympia, while never being beautiful in his perspective, looks a hell of a lot worse since the riots have started. However he takes it in with a pleasant smile, humming lightly to himself before he opts with an idea: ] Maybe the residential area? Heard through the grapevine that there's people still making a mess over there.
no subject
Mn, good idea. At least that way we can try to convince the citizens from moving out of the city.
[ They could try the crystal's powers later. ]
Let's hope we don't bump into anyone unsavoury.
safe haven » lance
That done, Reign threw a grin at the brown haired young man. ]
I didn't think these crystals would come in so handily. Anyway, I'm Reign. Reign Fear. What's yours?
no subject
Lance. [ he spares a moment to swallow down his anxiousness, and flashes the other a much more confident grin. ] That's a pretty cool name, Reign! Is that like a nickname? [ maybe this rather meek-looking man is actually a terror, and has garnered this nickname for himself in his youth... :O ]
no subject
Nope, not at all. It's my real name. Yours is pretty awesome as well.
[ He glanced down at his own green crystal, then up at Lance, mirroring the other's nervousness, yet excited at the same time. ]
Shall we get going? We've people to save! I only hope we don't run into too many troubles.
playing preacher » chibi
He glanced towards the white-haired man in dark robes, then back at the two shamans some distance before them. From their position behind thick bushes, they shouldn't be easily spotted. ]
So, how are we going to incapacitate without killing them?
no subject
[Trying to figure out how to undress some shamans might be less fine, but you can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs, or something!]
[Lightly:] Poorly, I'm sure. [From what Chibi can hear, the shamans are arguing about some religious minutiae - the perfect time to sneak up on them, as they're engrossed in their debate.]
No, no, ideally we would be able to incapacitate them without them being able to identify us, but... [He pulls his hat over his eyes, then his cloak over his mouth. The only skin showing on him now is his nose, poking from the bundle of cloth and hat.] I will surprise them, and you can tie them? Some poor sap will find them soon enough.
no subject
Reign gave Chibi a look at the joke. If that was even a joke. This was a serious mission, one that he didn't intend to fail. Nonetheless, he was quite impressed with the way Chibi disguise himself. Or at least hide most of his features so as not to be recognised. ]
All right. You do that. I think I'll be able to find something to tie them up. [ Looking around, searching for some thick vines. Aha! Found some! He held them up for Chibi to see, indicating that he was ready for whatever the other was going to do. If anything, they'll have to go in fast and quick. ]
All right. Let's do this.
no subject
[About ten feet away, a bright blue portal opens under one of the shamans' feet, then another directly over the other one's head. They promptly crash into each other and begin rolling down the hill. Chibi pops up above them through a portal of his own, then promptly straddles both to keep them down. Given that he's beefy and huge, this isn't much of a problem.]
[That's one way to stop an argument!!]
[With a press of a hand to one shaman's mouth to stifle him:] Shhh, now. Goodnight. [Then to Reign, with a beckoning nod of his chin:] Quick, to undress them.
[One of the poor shamans utters something into Chibi's hand that is probably best interpreted as ?!?!?!?@?!?!?@?#?!?#!; it goes ignored.]
no subject
So surprised he was that Reign was stunned silent until Chibi's voice snapped him out of it. ]
Ah, y-yes. Right away!
[ He headed straight for one of the shaman, being careful to keep himself out of their view less he was recognised. Murmuring a quick apology, Reign made quick works to remove their robes, then tied their wrists and ankles together. It wasn't easy, not when they were still conscious and clearly trying to fight Chibi off them. ]
Best to knock them out. Uwaaah! Stop moving! [ That was said towards the muffling shaman as Reign did his best to tie him up. ]
a day in the life ver.2 » isabela
So, how are we to do this?
[ He tried to remember what little information the Overseer had told them. ]
I've never broke into a house before. [ Except for that one time into the Royal Guard's office. ]
no subject
[Said homes being those of her friend's usually, because what's the harm in just letting yourself in for the harmless purpose of wanting to share your company? The other times, well. There was a reason she'd been asked to go after the most hard to get things over plenty others. This felt no different beyond the fact that they were mostly going in blind with no true idea of what to look for. At least the money was good.]
I was thinking we could start by checking to see if the building has any side entrances. After all I doubt a person of her importance would want them to walk right through the front door, don't you think?
[It's a good a guess as any with what little Voss had told them about her. It's also the predictable one, and she watches people inside mill about with a studious look in her eyes. She sucks her teeth quietly at the fact that the house was far from empty, making this far from an average break in.]
Although, I've already seen more than a few guards pass by inside. Maybe we should try to fit in then? I doubt either of us could pass for servants as we're dressed now. If there's any extra clothes around, perhaps we can nab those to wear while we look around? Worst comes to worst we find someone to knockout for a few hours and 'borrow' what they're wearing.
no subject
With her position, she'll definitely have guards around the house, more so if what the Overseer said about her is true.
[ Being of noble upbringing himself, Reign knew what it was like to have tight security to ensure one's safety. It was no different for this woman's house. He peered over the bushes surrounding the two-storey building, taking note of the guards taking watch and what little he could see inside with his heightened eyesight. ]
That's a good idea, disguising as one of the guards. Perhaps one of us will do, because having two new faces would be even more suspicious. Most of the guards also seem to stay on the ground floor only, which is a good thing. We probably are going to have to "borrow" their uniform.
I'm not really good at this... sneaking around, so I'll follow your lead.
