[ Strange that it wouldn't be in the Institute, but then again, they don't monopolize knowledge. He finishes vandalizing her notes to lean forward onto his forearms, peering. He knows that this sort of thing could be heavily sought after (Futaba might be on the hunt for her mother's work forever, and it was stolen before then), but... ]
Strange that it would be so guarded. [ But who knows what else was in these tomes. ]

Maybe it's a deep, dark secret. [ Except she doesn't believe that theory so much. Not really, anyway. Ancient document or otherwise, the chances of it being something significant isn't very high ( if they can even translate enough to make sense of it in the first place ). Either way, she rolls up her sleeves.
