scythed to plan something out; I'm open to most quests, but I prefer writing individual starters for anything that requires sign-ups! Feel free to ask for an event prompt too, or just wildcard it since he'll be in both Wyver and Olympia, I'm easy. ]

She's painfully aware of her own good looks, so when she makes a joke like that she sort of expects a man to have a favorable reaction. Well, no matter. Her meaning seems to be lost on him, so she reiterates it clearer. ]
I was talking about -- Oh, nevermind. [ She might as well get to the point, then, since this guy doesn't look like someone she can twist around her finger. ] They're going to get suspicious of me if I'm standing around here doing nothing. I don't know the first thing about making art, though.
That's why you should let me work together with you. [ Most people would phrase that as a request but ... nah. ]

But her new approach works better—he's experienced first-hand the bubbling start of violence around town, donning a mask and immersing himself in the 'festivities' as well to avoid the brunt of it. He'd never drive someone away who needs a cover to avoid harassment, much less one ready to ask him outright.
That doesn't mean he won't be lame about it, though. He sighs, reluctantly flipping his brush over his fingers, extending the handle to her. ]
...Very well. Show me the extent of your powers.
[ Draw him something. ]

Fine. I'll see what I can do. [ What should she even draw, though? She starts looking around for inspiration, and then she sees a frog ... that's sitting on top of a well. It has part of an insect in its mouth, and it seems to be sitting with such dignity and pride ... it almost looks like it's pleased with itself.
Oh, what the fucking ever, she's going to draw that.

Anyway, that's just awful. He's kind of impressed at how bad it is, actually. ]
Hm. It stirs in me a truly visceral reaction.
[ And disgust is an emotion, is it not? He ponders this toad-thing more deeply, both disappointed and amazed at her efforts. The real question, though: what the hell was she even going for? ]
A fungus? Perhaps an infected toe, given human likeness?
[ Is this body horror? Impressive, if kinda tone deaf for what they're going for. ]

It's a frog! Can't you see? [ She jabs her finger at the drawing, as if that is supposed to help him understand what she was going for better. ] It's got the legs, and eyes of a frog ...
[ It really does not look that much like a frog. She sighs, wearily. ] I never said I was good at this! Can't you at least try to be polite about it?
