[speaking of dust, some of it finds it's way into Mordred's nose and she sneezes loudly.]

Ugh...

[wiping her nose with the back of her hand super lady like she scans the room with disinterest, her gaze narrowing finally as she catches sight of a spider lowering down onto Nami's head. looks like they've got company.]

Oi, there's a spider on your head.

[she's not good at subtlety.]

[Yukina isn't always sure when subtlety is and isn't called for. Spiders, for example, don't really scare her as long as they don't appear out of nowhere. But she's well aware that there are plenty of people who are afraid of them, and since she doesn't know whether or not Nami is one of them, she debates her options to take care of it discreetly while surveying the room.

...Mordred's got that covered, though! Although her method isn't especially discreet.

She steps close to Nami and reaches up for her head, holding her hand out flat to try and urge the spider onto it.]

Don't worry, it's only a small one. I'll put it outside.

[ Nami barely hears Yukina's quiet reassurance. The moment Mordred brings up the situation, the creepy crawlie that's currently making its way through her locks of hair, she's stricken with fear, her entire body paling. She couldn't feel it before, but she can certainly feel it now - the light patter of legs, crawling their way down her back. Before Yukina even gets a chance to take the insect, Nami's wailing, long arms flailing about as she tries to smack the spider off of her. ]

KYAAAA!! GROSS! I REALLY HATE SPIDERS! Get it off me, please!

[ Wasn't that what Yukina was trying to do? In her fear and panic, she tries to run, momentarily forgetting that she has a bad ankle from the crash before, Nami falls immediately, wincing in pain. ]

[whooaaa, looks like Nami is channeling 100% MAXIMUM NO CHILL!!!

Mordred snorts, barely attempting to stifle a sudden bout of laughter at the chaotic display. she is awful, it's best to learn this early on. not that Nami seems to notice, she has higher priorities at the moment. it's a good thing they have Yukina here with them to lend a sympathetic hand.

but ALRIGHT ALRIGHT she isn't totally heartless, when it's clear Nami's down for the count Mordred stoops down beside her to check on her.]

Are you still alive?

[punish her....]

[...well, she tried.

It all happens too fast for anyone to prevent it, but Yukina moves quickly to kneel down on the side of Nami opposite Mordred, her expression one of concern.]

That looked painful... do you need help up?

[ Mordred's amusement and general complete lack of empathy for her plight has her furious, and she momentarily puts aside her own fear to rise up and chop the other girl on the head. ]

Of course I'm alive!! Were you laughing at me?! [ Yeah, she totally saw you laughing at her, girl. That can't go unpunished. ]

[ She then ... remembers that spider that could still be on her body, and slinks down into a terrified mess, clutching onto Yukina's arm for support. ]

Auugh, is it still on me? Yukina-chan, please take it off ...

[ It's still on her arm somewhere. ]

[invest in a water bottle and proceed to squirt her with it whenever she does something bad. which is all of the time tbh.

Mordred flashes Nami a sheepish grin, still snickering lightly under her breath as she rubs the spot on her head where she was thwapped. it doesn't hurt, but it does leave a dull twinge.]

Just checking!

I've got it, Nami-san...

[The way Nami clings to her arm makes it a little more difficult to get the spider than it would be with both hands, but she manages to scoop it up into the palm of one hand after a moment.]

See, it's all right. If you'll let go of my arm, I'll go put it outside where it can't bother you anymore.

[ There's a wave of relief as she sees that spider in Yukina's fingers. Sure, it looks gross as hell, but at least that means it's no longer on her. There's a weak but grateful 'thank you', before she lets go of Yukina's arm, rising back upward to the best of her ability. She's still favoring one of her legs over the other, but it can't be helped when putting too much pressure kind of hurts.

Nami's still lightly frazzled, but she dusts herself off, composing herself and trying to return to normal. She'll wait for Yukina to return before she starts to speak again, though. ] Now that that's over ... We should probably decide where we're going to sleep.

[ Scanning around the room, she can see that there are two bedrooms, a kitchen and a toilet. ] There are only two beds, after all.

[ And three of them, so ...? She doesn't actually mind sharing if it comes down to it, but the other girls might. It's better to get things laid out now that they're going to be staying together. ]

[while Yukina is busy escorting the former tenant outside, Mordred takes it upon herself to further investigate the space. peeking her head into the two bedrooms she looks to ensure there aren't more surprises waiting for them, of the eight legged variety or otherwise. once she's satisfied the rooms are all clear she migrates back towards the group in the main living space.]

You two take the rooms, I'll crash out here.

[she gestures to the beat up old couch with her foot, it doesn't look very comfortable but it'll do. it only seems fair, since she doesn't actually need to sleep. it's a small sacrifice to make, but taking into account that her roommates are ladies, in her mind it's the natural conclusion. she'd be going against her own standards as a knight, otherwise.]

[With the spider safely out of their hair (and their house), Yukina comes back in. What Nami brings up is a conversation they need to have, but -

...honestly, she's a little surprised that Mordred agrees to take the couch so quickly?]

Are you sure...? That doesn't seem like it would be very comfortable...
