Helpful Idiots [Closed]

Who: Slaine Troyard ([personal profile] terrantrash) & Yona ([personal profile] cutefaced)
What: Tripping Out on Shrooms
When: Intro Drop
Where: Murkwell Hollow
Warning(s): Yelling...and Slaine losing his shit I guess.

[This isn't exactly how Slaine planned for his day to go. Dragging his boots through a muggy, hot bog in the Hollow and trying not to drown or die wasn't at the top of his list for things he wanted to do. Still, word had gotten out that new refugees had been stranded there and it only made sense he and Yona go to offer their help. After all, there was always the chance Hak or Asseylum could show up in the wreckage. That, and it was good karma to pay the favour forward and help out others who had to start a new life here.

With all that said, it still sucks. The air smells like smoke and sulfur, the humidity oppressive, making it hard to breathe. Maybe this hadn't been a good idea...surely there were better ways to help out, right? But Yona had been insistent and determined. It's not like he has a good track record of saying no to her in the first place.]

How are you holding up?

...you don't think soldiers from either of the cities found them first, do you?

[It's not entirely outside of the realm of possibility, she thinks. They were aggressive enough to shoot their ships out of the sky; it would be almost negligent not to try and take out any survivors.

Which is awful to think about, honestly. She shivers, despite the heat.]

...what kind of evidence?

[Like, footprints? Actual troops?

Or does he mean dead bodies, because yikes.]

I don't even see anything to indicate that there have been animals around here...

[that's just because they haven't looked up and made eye contact with any finicky vultures. yet.]

So that's probably a good thing too, right...?
