Who: Wanda Maximoff (
seeingscarlet) & YOU
What: Wanda tries to help out.
When: First half of March
Where: Mostly Olympia
Warning(s): TBA
i. Rebuilding
By now the regular people of Olympia are starting to learn that the brunette in the red coat might have questionable fashion choices, but she doesn't mean them any harm. They're certainly not going to turn down help with the heavy lifting, not when she can casually move even the heftiest building materials with a wave of her hand. And on more than one instance, someone has slipped or started to lose their balance only to be caught by scarlet energy.
Most of the remaining rioters really don't want to mess with something they can't fully understand, and so Wanda finds herself doing an awful lot of standing around as some sort of deterrent even when there's nothing left she has the skills to help with. This is definitely an improvement - none of the people she's been helping seem frightened of her.
ii. Potion Run
While she helps to rebuild where she's able, the city is full of intense emotions and Wanda's glad there are ways she can still be helping and get away to take a psychic break. She hadn't been able to leave Olympia at all since Jon snuck her in, and that initial disastrous trek from the Hollow really hadn't been a time for sightseeing. She'd been too tired and too grumpy to really appreciate the scenery.
But this place isn't that bad when the natives aren't making your life difficult...
Wanda's unfamiliar with the flora of El Nysa, left only with the rushed explanation of the plants and what supplementing memories she'd been able to glean before the healers shooed her out the door. It's a little patchy, so you might find Wanda turning to you, flower in hand. "This is one of the plants they need, yes?"
iii. Wild Card
Wanda's focus is with the people, but she can be convinced to tag along to investigate the anti-Simwe faction and she'll make her way to Wyver if any of her friends need her. Her plotting post is here if you want to hash anything out!

Which means she needs help to collect potion ingredients. Thankfully, she's found some. And the woman seems intelligent enough.
Diana's one good hand opens the small book she holds, her hand in the sling managing to flip through the pages, peering closely at the plant Wanda is holding. "It certainly looks like it," she says. "If it's not that plant, it's a very close mimic. I think we can probably assume it is what we're looking for."
no subject
"They gave you a book?" Lucky, if not for the fact that Diana only has full use of one arm. Wanda frowns and stashes the flower in her bag with the other ones. "I found more of them over there if you still need some." It's an excuse to stick together - Diana's book will be useful and Wanda's not comfortable leaving her alone out here.

She replaces the book in her hand with a small metal cylinder; a flick of her wrist and it extends to more than double its length, a slender metal rod with two curved prongs at the end.
Diana murmurs something under her breath, and the wand glows green.

The plants then uproot themselves, floating gently into Diana's herb pouch at her hip, which she closes behind them. She favors Wanda a slightly tired smile. "It makes doing this with one hand easier."
no subject
Maybe it's easier to show than tell. The red energy surrounds one of the plants a few feet away like a sheath, traveling down the roots so Wanda can pull it free intact. It floats to hover in front of Diana.
She hesitates again, unsure now that there's no external pressure that's forced her to reveal herself. "I've...never met anyone else with powers like this."
no subject
Her gaze follows the plant as it hovers, analyzing it. Some sort of telekinesis, perhaps?
But even so, she can tell that the other woman is... nervous? Anxious? The smile she gives tries to be sympathetic. "I have-- plenty of them. Don't worry, it's not surprising."
"You can do magic too, then?"
no subject
"You could call it that? I was the only one like this at home." She shrugs. "It's mine, but I am not sure what it is." She's 'witch' enough for that to make it into her codename, but it's not like she has the traditional trappings or even fully understands what she's doing.

"Did you find any of the blue flowers?"
no subject
"I haven't seen any of those flowers yet, though. Are you sure they're around here? This seems to favor more root-like plants."

And because he thought it was the best use of his time, he had left his duties of standing guard or helping to assist with basic medical treatment to head off to gather more supplies.
However, he found himself distracted by the lithe young woman lifting heavy debris with red energy. He didn't know her, but he would know von Strucker. Still, he carried on his way and some time later passed by while she was standing guard with considerable bandage material and salve. She seemed like a bad ass, which meant he thought it worthwhile to comment. What did he have to lose?
"So, do you have a maximum lift capacity because that was impress back there?"
no subject
She played him and his men for over a year, and as far as she's concerned this Rumlow person should be no different. So she smiles and keeps her tone perfectly friendly. "I can handle a few bags."
no subject
"Looks to me that you can handle more than that," he said, nodding his chin towards some of the heavier materials that he had seen her moving all on her own previously. "Nice to see everyone pitching in to help others out."

Her abilities had great value after all, and if she was willing to get him to where he needed to go faster by keeping people looking for trouble off his back, he'd take it.

"No, I would know if they tried. Besides, I'm a runner of medical supplies. I have nothing anyone wants."

"If you want to join me, I won't say no. I only actually stopped to comment on your cool powers."

Which means she's probably better off hanging around the woman who's also raised a few eyebrows. There's a lot they could probably get done if they work together. "I see you found a way to make yourself useful here." Emma steps up to wander after she catches sight of her shifting a large beam into place - once it's secured and away from both of them. "That's one hell of a super power."
